If you check out my previous post on my newgrounds 'blog', I said that I had set up a new site called flashstand.net, I don't know if I mentioned this or not, but I planned to have the site set up as a free or paid hosting system. I finally decided, that for now, I would use it as a free hosting system on the side.

If your wondering about the plans, I currently have a very scarce idea of what I'm offering now. Here's the deal. You get twenty posts on the forum, you get a reasonable plan (that you request). I will review your request (very quickly), and tell you whether or not you deserve the plan you requested. Like, if you request ten gigabytes of space and a ton of bandwith, and you use around 10mb in the first month of receiving the hosting, I will reduce your allotments until they need increasing. If your bandwith or space run out or you need more for any other reason, you will need an additional twenty posts, for a reasonable update of your choice.

The hosting I offer comes with ftp access, cpanel, fantastico De Luxe and much more features. I'll give you more details on the forums. Just, if your interested, when you sign up, sign up at the forums, and notify me if your from newgrounds or not. I'll be nice and generous for the first few accounts, after that, I'll use my standard judgment to whether or not you should or shouldn't receive the hosting you want.

Oh, and if your wondering, the hosting is based on subdomains, so your site will be http://www.YOURNAME.flashstand.net

After countless attempts at getting a domain name, I finally got the one I wanted. I purchased flashstand.net only days ago, and I now have most of the site up and running. Flashstand.net , is planned to be used to build a community, to provide hosting and to showcase the flash works of anyone. I want this site to be successful in every way possible, I don't want only five people passing the site, saying "meh. nothing new", and just passing away an never returning. I want to build a larger community for the people who enjoy being dedicated to staying to one site for awhile. There's going to be weekly contests handing out prizes (Hosting or something like that), I gladly take in suggestions to make the site better, and if you are put onto the memberlist within the five first slots, then I will consider making you a moderator. Look, don't flame me because I'm trying to start a site I've been 'dreaming' of for awhile. I just want to give this a shot. I've seen tons of other sites out there that have done very, very well, and I hope that one day my site will end up being great.
